mac trying to take things from charlie

every day the universe tries to force my hand into buying a new laptop before the big sales in the fall. for example: the inability (because it is 100 degrees in my room) to play the one game i want to play but can’t play on my steam deck bc it’s not technically out yet has made me get as far as seeing what options are currently on sale at best buy. now i won’t succumb to this impulse bc *gestures at last week’s spending* but on the bright side this has forced my hand into doing the reading and writing i was gonna do. so there’s that at least!

in all seriousness being forced to sleep on the couch when all i’ve wanted to do the past week is sleep in my bed is misery inducing.i am also going to be forced to share space with my stepdad soon which will make me want to kill myself. so glad this happened over break!i know these are not Real Problems just inconveniences but again after nearly a full week of inconveniences i’m at my limit.an ac repair person could charge me 5k at this point and id be fine with that if it meant i could lay in my bed at this point also. if this isn’t fixed by wednesday i will have to start killing people. like i just have to. i cannot work like this.aaaaaaaaaaaand post.

a comic page depicting a scene from Nona the Ninth. there are three vertical panels with bright red frames. in the left and the right one there are two dead men lying face down in pools of blood. in the middle one there's Camilla, blue rim light framing her head and shoulders. in the bottom of the page there's Nona depicted from the back, her braids flowing in the water, a blue and a yellow jellyfish surrounding her.

second page of the comic has three panels, one horizontal and two vertical ones. first panel depicts Nona, this time from the front, her eyes shining bright yellow, she's up to her nose in the dark water, the jellyfish circling her. on the left bottom panel there's a close-up of Camilla's eye, it's light gray. on the right panel there's Camilla's other eye, it's dark gray. between these panels Camilla stands, her back to the viewer, holding two knives coated in bright red blood.

Camilla was crouched down, wiping her knives on one of their jackets. When she looked up, Nona was electrified. One of her eyes was a pale, pearlescent grey; the other one of her eyes was a deep, cool stone colour. Nona understood in a sudden shiver what she was looking at.
